It's prime time for online retail.
Recently, internet retail giant Amazon.ca announced that their annual sale extravaganza, Prime Day, will be taking place for a second time in 2022, on October 11 & 12.
What will Prime Day have to offer this year? We surveyed 586 of our mobile shoppers (we call them agents) to find out their purchasing plans for the event, and how their spending may compare to the Prime Day event this past July.
With Prime Day happening in the fall, it also provides an early chance for customers to begin their Christmas shopping. While we had our shoppers on the line, we asked them to give us the inside scoop on their early holiday shopping plans.
Prime Day. It's a big deal.
And this year, it's just in time for the holidays. In fact, of those who plan to take advantage of Prime Day sales, 83% intend to make holiday purchases during the event.
What's on the wish list? Top categories include home decor, health & beauty and clothing, as well as holiday favourites like toys and headphones/speakers.
