QR Codes seem to be making a comeback at retail with the little black and white squares popping up on-shelf, on displays and on packaging much more frequently. QR Codes act as a portal to the digital campaigns for brands and allow shoppers to scan them with their phone camera and view on-line content ranging from promotional / contest details, product information and yummy recipes.
But are Canadian shoppers engaging with QR codes?
Field Agent surveyed 3965 Canadian shoppers to find out and the results are summarized in the infographic below. While only about a third of Canadian shoppers have engaged with QR Codes in-store in the past month, almost half of shoppers would like to see QR codes used more often in-store.
