Here at Field Agent we LOVE new stores! We try to get out to them as soon as they open and share what we see with you!
This week we're featuring IGA in Montreal. This new location is set up on the border of Griffintown and the Cité du Multimédia, which had previously been known as a food desert (a territory located more than 1.6 km from a grocery store providing fresh food).
This opening is part of a new concept of urban stores imagined by IGA. Inspired by Farmboy supermarkets in Ontario, the grocery store sets itself apart from other branches with a more local food offering aimed at bringing the farm and the table closer together.
This location was formerly a bank built in 1927 and has been designed to retain the building's heritage character.
We sent three Field Agents to the store to give us a virtual store tour and we also asked them to give us their view as local shoppers on this new store and what they really liked (or disliked). Our store tour takes you right to the shopper as they explore the store. See all the photos below!
When you want to see inside any store in Canada - think of Field Agent. We can probably take you there!
