Here at Field Agent we LOVE new stores! We try to get out to them as soon as they open and share what we see with you!
On May 25 Ikea celebrated the grand opening of their first Downtown Toronto location. It's smaller than the other 4 GTA locations, so it combines the showroom area and market hall into one.
Large items like beds and couches aren't stored at the location; rather, you can view furniture and then have what you like delivered right to your house (or pick it up from another location, if that makes sense to you).
There are still plenty of smaller items in stock, however, with more than 2,000 products available to purchase.
While guests venture through the new location, they’ll have a chance to check out the Swedish Deli, a new concept that offers modern, healthy meals and specialty drinks for dine-in. They also have on-the-go food options and sustainably sourced essentials to cook right at home.
We sent three Field Agents to the store to give us a virtual store tour and we also asked them to give us their view as local shoppers on this new store and what they really liked (or disliked). Our store tour takes you right to the shopper as they explore the store. See all the photos below!
