On December 21, 2024, Tim Hortons unveiled their flagship store in Regina. This particular Tim Hortons stands out for its innovative approach, as it serves as a testing ground for various sustainable initiatives, such as:
- Heat pumps
- Green roof
- Structural insulated panels (SIPs)
- Underground rainwater storage
- Low-carbon concrete
- Electric vehicle charging stations
- Tankless water heaters
- Automated LED lighting
- Repurposed materials
- Sustainably sourced furniture
The performance of these initiatives will be closely monitored and may be rolled out across Tim Hortons locations across the country.
