Walmart has been slowly rolling out its Price First brand of entry price point private label products in a range of grocery / household categories. The line-up is all about price impression and allows Walmart to effectively compete with dollar stores and Loblaw’s “no name” brand. Most products are priced at $1.00.
We spotted this 12 foot “dollar store within a store” located in the household aisles at Walmart. Instead of sprinkling these products throughout the whole aisle, this section provides a one-stop shop for low cost household essentials.
Prominent position at the start of an aisle could likely benefit from some overhead signage but nonetheless will likely attract lots of shoppers looking for deals!
